SOLD 1969 FJ40 Custom

1969 Toyota Land Cruiser- This classic FJ40 has been treated to a total frame-off restoration with a long list of upgrades that make it the ultimate hot rod adventure vehicle. It has been driven less than 1,000 miles since completion. Starting with a rust-free Arizona truck, the frame was modified to accommodate a rebuilt ’94 Corvette LT1 engine. The engine is backed by a robust 4-speed Automatic transmission (4L60E) with overdrive for comfortable highway cruising. The manual steering & drum brakes were removed in favor of custom Saginaw power steering and 4-wheel power disc brakes to make the driving experience modern and safe. 4-wheel drive is fully functional using twin transfer case sticks and locking hubs. Rolling on 35″ BfGoodrich tires, this Landcruiser sports a spring-over-axle suspension on custom leaf springs controlled by Rancho shocks. A custom articulating traction bar keeps the power smoothly applied to the ground under hard acceleration without hindering the suspension movement. Inside the cabin features a full roll cage, Auto-meter gauges and lighted toggle switches. 5-point harnesses and racing style seats provide safety and comfort. Lockable storage was added in place of the upper dash pad. The soft top and doors are all new, and the exterior sports many custom touches like a square tube front bumper with integral winch mount, full-length steel rocker guards tie the frame to the body. The rear has classic stock type tail lights, diamond-plate corner guards and a square tube bumper with removable tire carrier. The original hard top and steel doors are available separately.
