Sold new at Ballston Motor Sales here in Upstate NY, the big Indian was garaged from 1980 until it was extracted this year; The odometer shows a documented 65,000 original miles. This winter the Bonneville received a mechanical reconditioning with care taken to leave the car as original as possible. Brakes were rebuilt with all new hoses, wheel cylinders and a rebuilt master cylinder. The engine was free and had excellent compression, so it was given new ignition components, water pump, and all new fluids. The original carburetor was professionally restored. The a/c belt was left off for now but the compressor is free, and there is still a charge in the system. The 389 starts & idles well with no smoke and the transmission shifts smoothly. With a few finishing details this car would make a great original driver.
Body rust is limited to the small spots in the trunk floor shown in pictures, the floors, exterior and frame are 100% solid and original. This Bonneville is available as-is, or the new owner can choose to have restoration services completed in-house before taking delivery.
