Our 1995 Mercedes-Benz S420 is finished in Smoke Silver Metallic (702U) over a beige leather interior (265A), and is luxuriously equipped with heated and power adjustable front seats, soft-close doors and trunk, heat-insulating glass, a power adjustable steering wheel, a glass sunroof, and more.

The W140-chassis S-Class was the pinnacle of luxury in the 1990s, and remains a comfortable touring car with expansive space for every occupant. We have owned the car for three years, and personally added 11k of the 45k indicated miles.

Under our care the car has received oil and filter changes every 3,000 miles with Liqui-Moly lubricants and German-made filters. Shortly after acquiring the car in 2016 we fitted new tires, flushed the brake fluid and coolant, and performed the air conditioning service. More recently we fitted a new genuine Mercedes-Benz crank sensor, a Bosch alternator, Bosch distributor caps and rotors, and replaced the trunk-mounted vacuum pump which controls the soft-close features and seat lumbar support.

The taillight was replaced prior to our acquisition due to a crack, and was updated from the factory pink item to a set with Smoke Grey reflectors, giving the car a tasteful monochromatic appearance. The upper and lower engine harnesses were also replaced by a dealer prior to our ownership due to a known issue with biodegradable harness materials.

Factory accessories have been retained, including the valet key, radio code card, floor mats, and manuals.
