1973 Dodge D200 Adventurer Club Cab
This 1973 Dodge D200 Adventurer Club Cab is one of the nicest original Dodge pickups you’ll find anywhere.
This was acquired from the original owner last fall who was a pilot; he bought the truck new in Arnold NE. A factory Camper Special, it was always garaged and used to haul the family 5th wheel camper. Check the build sheet in the glove box and you’ll find a long list of options rarely seen on a utilitarian vehicle: 360 4-barrel V8, 727 Automatic Trans, power steering, power brakes, Air Conditioning, cruise control, electronic ignition, tinted glass with sliding rear window, Adventurer Package, 7500lb Camper package, Rear fold-down seats, Additional side trim & two-tone paint scheme. An auxiliary fuel tank with in-cab selector switch was installed at the dealer which is still intact but has not been tested. The stock 25 gallon fuel tank is being used currently.
The working odometer shows 103,000 miles with a major rebuild of the original engine & transmission at 96,000 mi. This major overhaul was done in Nov. 2002 at a cost of over $3,700. A thorough mechanical check shows this vehicle to be in excellent condition. Brakes, steering and suspension are tight and the truck drives very well. We have driven it approximately 1,000 miles completely trouble free. Even the A/C and Cruise still work like new.
The body has received one repaint in 2003 and it shows extremely well. The body is original and rust free with no evidence of ever having metal work or repairs.
Inside the spacious club cab you’ll find the interior to be original and in near pristine condition. Crack-free dash, original bench seat with no signs of wear, and only a small amount of wear on the door panel arm rests. All gauges function as they should.
This classic Mopar pickup would be a perfect tow rig for a vintage camper, car trailer or just for a classic cruiser that can haul bags of mulch on the weekends.
