This Mercedes was sold new at Prestige MB in New Jersey. It has just 10,000 original miles on the odometer. Original paint, interior, running gear etc. A full rebuild of the brake & clutch hydraulic system was just completed using new old stock and OEM parts. Carburetors rebuilt & fuel system cleaned. This car has not been restored, only re-commissioned as a running & driving classic. The car now runs, drives & stops with no issues. All gauges, lights and accessories work properly.
Notice the Castrol oil change sticker in the door jamb: in 1970 this car’s odometer read 4,941 miles. In 1983 when the car was re-titled within the family, it has 8,600 miles. The car was in long term heated storage from the late 1980’s until 2012 when I resurrected it.
The dash is free of cracks, but the corners have shrunk and wrinkled. A professional would have no trouble addressing this to make the interior perfect again. The only other interior flaw is the driver-side floor mat which was stained from a brake fluid leak during its years of storage.
