1986 Ferrari 328GTS
This 1986 Ferrari 328GTS is beautifully finished in the original color of Grigio Metallic with a tan leather interior. The 328 represents the last of the classic Ferraris, and features a transverse-mounted 3.2l V8 and dogleg 5-speed manual gearbox.
The 270 horsepower, 3.2l V8 received the major 50kmi engine-out service last year, and has covered around one thousand miles since. The service was performed by RPM in Vergennes, Vermont. The rev-happy V8 pulls strongly all the way to redline, and produces a sound quite unlike any modern supercar.
The interior shows light wear consistent with the car’s 49k miles, and the tan leather remains supple. The carpets are dark and free of fading, and the leather wrapped dash is taut with arrow-straight seams. The radio is non-original, but all interior features work as they should, from the power windows to the air conditioning.
This example has been maintained “by the book” and has a complete set of maintenance records showing its history. All services were done by Ferrari specialists and all work is documented in the log books and with receipts. Copies are available upon request.
The body shows very well and was treated to a high quality repaint ($16k) in 1998. The repaint was for cosmetic reasons only: this car has had no accidents in its lifetime. The removable targa top seals beautifully, and tucks neatly behind the seats under a fitted cover.
Two spare wheels are included; one full-width spare, and an original narrow donut-type Campagnolo alloy spare with a new tire. The original tool kit is still stowed in its leather pouch in the trunk.
If you research the value trends on these cars you will find that they make a great investment that you can also drive and enjoy. This one has a spotless record, is perfectly maintained and will be a true pleasure to own.
