We purchased this 1983 Mercedes 300GD from long-time owners who used the vehicle in Philadelphia and seasonally at their home on the island of Nantucket. Used regularly until around 2012, this G-wagen has not been used much in recent years and sat idle for the last six years before we brought it home to Automotion Classics.

Showing 67,000 miles this cabriolet has been maintained well in its past; it will require some maintenance and restoration work to be back on the road however. Rust is present in the usual areas but this example is much more solid than most (See photos).

The 5 cylinder Naturally aspirated diesel engine runs well and is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. It currently runs and drives but will need brake work for safety. One brake hose at the right front caliper is leaking and we recommend a complete braking system rebuild due to age. This example is equipped with Air Conditioning and select-able hydraulic locking front & rear differentials. Being a Cabriolet model, the included hard top is removable and a soft top can be fitted. This is a Genuine MB hard top with a pop-up sun roof.
