It shows just 64kmi on the working odometer (documented) and has been garaged since new. Documentation from day one has been retained including correspondence from Mercedes Benz and the original order form with a copy of the deposit check.
Mechanically this Mercedes is in excellent condition; benefiting from a recent $4,000 tune up including a complete braking system overhaul, ignition components, new Bosch fuel pump and more. The four-speed transmission shift linkage has also received all new bushings for “like new” shift throws. The engine starts easily with no smoke and idles well. It has been driven approximately 50 miles this year and performed flawlessly. The engine and transmission are numbers matching and original to the car.
The body on this W111 Coupe is truly rust free and wears most of its original paint. Any paint flaws are shown in pictures and include a few door dings on the passenger side door, 2 small dings on the passenger quarter panel, two spots that have been blended on the roof from a storage mishap and a few chips in various areas. This car has never been in an accident and has all of its original body panels.
Inside you’ll see the gorgeous green leather interior and varnished burl wood. All of this is original and un-restored. The top sections of the wooden dash show some deterioration of the varnish but the wood has never been wet and is all usable if the new owner chooses to have it refinished. all lights, gauges and switches function properly, and the Becker radio is fully functional.
