1977 Land Rover 109 : 300Tdi Swapped Restomod
This handsome green 109 was brought to us by a couple who wanted to upgrade their rover for enjoyable daily-driving. After exploring all the powerplant options we decided on a late model Land Rover 300TDI engine backed by a ZF Automatic transmission with overdrive, mated to a LT230 transfer case. We have upgraded to power steering and coil-spring front suspension fabricated in-house. Range Rover axle assemblies front & rear give a bit of a wider track-width as well as 4-wheel disc brakes and 3.54 gear ratios. Defender power steering is being used with a modern steering column and banjo wheel. A/C and heat will be added and upgraded respectively.
We have fabricated a set of steel “rock sliders” to replace the fragile sill panels and had them galvanized to look good for a lifetime of use.
Please contact us if you are interested in having your own vehicle upgraded or if you’d like the staff at Automotion to acquire a vehicle for you to commission a build.
