1967 Land Rover 109 Resto-Mod

This is not your grandfather’s Land Rover: This Series IIA has the classic looks and rugged features of the original with all modern performance and amenities of a SUV 30 years newer.
Starting with a clean, rust-free CA truck, it was then re-powered with a fuel injected Chevrolet 4.3 liter V6 backed by a NV3550 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive (same as Jeep Rubicon). A rebuilt Series transfer case was installed with a high ratio gear set to take advantage of the extra horsepower and give better highway speeds. Braking has been upgraded to all Defender 110 specs with 4-wheel power disc brakes in 2013 using superior quality ROAM offroad parts. Power steering was also added with a saginaw power steering box and engine driven hydraulic pump. Old Air products supplied the Heat / air conditioning unit which was installed under the seat box for improved heat and cooling. The result is a vintage 4wd vehicle that runs & drives like a dream. Every mechanical item is either new or rebuilt on this vehicle.
The interior has been upgraded with Defender seats, custom marine grade carpet and sound insulation, new door panels and a new headliner. Gauges and electrical components are all in working order and the whole wiring harness has been replaced.
This Rover currently wears  cooper 16″ radial tires and has been outfitted with a custom made set of galvanized tubular rock sliders to replace the original fragile door sills (fabricated by Automotion Classics).
