A family came to us with an idea in the fall of 2017: An Alfa Romeo Giulietta in Celeste blue restored to as-new condition. This would be a surprise gift for their father’s 80th Birthday.

The race was on to find and fully restore a Giulietta for October 2018.

We found a very original, rust-free example in the correct color which we had shipped from California. A comprehensive restoration was completed in-house with only a few items like chrome and upholstery being sent out.

The running car was disassembled,  stripped and the body installed on a rotisserie. Blasted to bare metal; we were able to find that even this life-long CA car had some hidden rust issues and front end accident damage.

Many hours of careful massaging and some light panel replacement (rockers and inner bracing etc) had this body shaped up nicely. While the body was being prepped for paint we painstakingly refurbished all bolt-on components and prepared them as assemblies to more easily bolt back on to the car.

This comprehensive restoration netted a beautiful and reliable car that was presented to Paul on his birthday and won an award at its first car show.
