I spent over twenty years looking for one of my “Dream Cars”, a 1970-72 Corvette LT-1 convertible. During that twenty years I spent a good amount of time and money traveling to look at LT-1’s purported to be the “real deal” only to discover they were not. Then came the car you had offered for sale in the Fall of 2016, a “real deal” 1970 Cortez Sliver LT-1 Corvette convertible, bingo! You had properly researched the car and determined it to be a 16,000 mile legitimate car with which upon my personal inspection I agreed. As we were closing the deal you asked me about my intentions for restoration and we discussed my interest in restoring the car to level that would achieve an NCRS Top Flight award, a Bloomington Gold award and a Chevy Vette Fest Gold Spinner Award, the Triple Crown of awards for a Corvette. After discussing my intentions you explained how you would approach the restoration and I was convinced that you were the right shop for the job. Its been a year since we began the restoration and you have been exceptional to partner with on this restoration. I have done several restorations at this level and none have matched your professionalism, pace, patience and craftsmanship. Billings are timely and detailed, communication is regular and keeps me up to date. The services of outside shops is also exceptional and reasonably priced. I am grateful to be working with such a pleasant and skilled shop. A special thanks to Brett for all of your help purchasing the car and Mike who has managed this project as if this was his personal car. I look forward to the next restoration project: my 1968 Plymouth GTX four speed convertible.
