SOLD 1982 Mercedes 380SL

The W107 Mercedes is an iconic design that has stood the test of time. When the automobile industry was putting out some of the most bland and uninteresting cars to date, this was the roadster that stepped forward as the image of success. Originally costing over $41,000, this car features the new 4-speed automatic transmission, CIS fuel injection, four wheel independent suspension and power disc brakes. Because of these features, the Mercedes SL is very collectable today and is also enjoyable to drive on modern roads.

This 1982 380SL looks stunning in Anthracite Grey over Ash Grey interior. It has been meticulously maintained and has been driven only 82,0000 miles since new. Featuring a rust and accident free body and very clean undercarriage, the mechanicals have been thoroughly serviced in the past five years. All systems work as they should on this car, which is rare for any 30yr old vehicle. Major maintenance work performed includes brake calipers, pads & rotors all around, new tires on 17″ alloy wheels, fully rebuilt air conditioning system, fuel injection work and replacement ignition module. The hard top is in excellent condition, and the soft top is in very good condition with no rips in the cloth.
The interior shows very well and reflects on the care this car has received over the years. The dash is original and free of cracks and wood veneer panels are in excellent shape. Carpet is very nice, and a set of genuine Mercedes floor mats are included with the car. An aftermarket wind buffer was added for more comfortable driving with the top down. The Air Conditioning blows ice cold, and climate controls all function properly.

Original style Bundt wheels are available if the buyer prefers them. Also available is a set of genuine BBS 3-piece wheels painted in matching Anthracite Grey.
