1969 Camaro Convertible: Truly a work of art; this is the result of a 5-year build starting with an Art Morrison full chassis using 4-link rear and tubular mustang II front suspension. Adjustable air ride suspension with controls on the dash. The body is all steel including the hand made clamshell cowl hood and hinge assembly. All body seams are welded and door gaps are perfect, as is the PPG Porsche guards red paint. Front & rear bumpers were smoothed and re-chromed without bumper bolts, and the rear wheel openings were modified to fit the larger rubber driven by the narrowed Ford 9″ rear axle.
Power consists of a professionally built 355ci small block with all forged internals; low compression pistons, Airflow Research aluminum cylinder heads with roller rockers, large valves and custom ceramic coated long tube headers. Topping off the engine is a polished BDS supercharger fed by Accel EFI. The transmission is a polished Lenco 5-speed street version of their famous drag race transmission.
Recaro seats, custom leather interior and AutoMeter digital gauges complete the interior. A removable soft top is included.
This Camaro is a turn-key trouble free driver that doesn’t overhead in traffic and has been tuned to run on pump gas with underdriven blower pulleys. It has been driven about 2,000 careful miles since the build was completed.
